Youth Protection

One of Troop 680's major concerns is scout safety, both from an event viewpoint as well as interpersonal interactions and the scouts use of the Internet.  Keeping our scouts safe is an area that we strive to perfect on a daily basis, both from  adult leader training and certification as well as training the scouts themselves.  We practice 4D (4 people deep leadership. A minimum of 2 adults and 2 scouts is required at all times) and try to have as many boys and adults be both BSA (Red Card) as well as Red Cross CPR certified.  Our leaders and youth are all also certified in pressurized fuel (Toasted-Chit) and Red Cross first aid.  In short, we try to practice BSA's Sweet 16 of Boy Scout Safety.
